Corporate History

Jun. 1949

At the Registered address of the head office of Kato Seisakusho, K. Kato. the father of Kazuo Kato, current representative director of the corporation, founded the business as a toy-car manufacturer.

 

Jun. 1950

As the founder passed away, Sadako Kato, the mother of Kazuo Kato, current president of the corporation, succeeded the business, started manufacture of clock parts.

 

Apr. 1956

Kazuo Kato, current president of the corporation, joined the company.

 

Sep. 1961

Incorporated Kato Seisakusho Co.Ltd. with the capital of JPY 500,000-.

 

Jul. 1966

Added Kasugai Factory at Momoyama, Kasugai city.

 

Jun. 1966

At Kasugai Factory, P&A Co. Ltd. was founded.

 

Sep. 1968

Capital, increased to JPY 2,000,000.

 

Mar. 1969

Main factory was built at Ohguchi-cho, Niwa-gun, Aichi pref, and the corporate H.Q.was moved there.

Mar. 1970

The 1st Inuyama factory was built at Mikasa-cho, Inuyama city.

 

Sep. 1971

Capital, increased to JPY 5,000,000.

 

Mar. 1976

The second Inuyama factory was built at Ohaza Hashizume, Inuyama city.

 

Jan. 1979

Obtained a lot for industrial use at Kani Industrial Park, Himegaoka, Yabasama, Kani city, Gifu pref.

 

Apr.1981

The main factory was built at the industrial park above, and Kato Seisakusho was moved to the new address at Himegaoka, Kani city, Gifu pref.

 

July. 1981

At the former address of the corporation, Ohguchi, Niwa-gum, Ohguchi Seiki Co. Ltd. was jointly established with NGK Spark Plug Co. Ltd. at the capital of JPY 50,000,000.

 

Oct. 1988

Starting plastic molding .

 

Sep. 1987

Kani factory was newly built at Kani Industrial Park, Himegaoka, Shimogiri, Kani city, Gifu pref.

 

Oct. 1990

Chihiro Co. Ltd. was established by Chihiro Kato and Kato Seisakusho jointly at the capital of JPY 10,000,000. at Akatsuka-cho, Higashi-ku, Nagoya city.

 

Sep. 1991

A joint venture company was established by Chihiro Co. Ltd. and RK Precision Co., Ltd. in Korea at the capital of 147,060,000 won.

 

Nov. 1992

1st and 2nd Inuyama factories are integrated into Inuyama factory.

 

Apr. 1993

A Technological Corporation Agreement was signed with RK Precision Co.,Ltd. in Korea, and Mr. Hideo Takekoshi, a director of production management dept. of Kato Seisakusho was dispatched to Korea as the director responsible for technological development for the venture.

 

Sep. 1993

Invested capital in Technoa, a corporation for die making, ceramic grinding and owned the corporation as our subsidiary.

 

Oct. 1993

A new corporate head office was built at Nagoya city.

 

May. 1994

Fumiyuki Hioki, a deputy manager of production management dept. of Kato Seisakusho was dispatched to RK Precision Co., Ltd. as a director responsible for technological development, succeeding HideoTakekoshi.

 

May. 1994

A joint venture company was established by Beyonics Precision Stampings Pte Ltd and Kato Seisakusho at the joint capital of $1, 000, 000, 000.

 

Oct. 1995

Established the subsidiary company, K.S. of West Virginia Co.Ltd. in U.S.A. at the capital of US $300,000. Operation started in the next year.

 

1996 Nov. 1998

Capital, increased to JPY 10,000,000.

 

Feb. 1999

Organization reviewed as a stock company, Kato Seisakusho Co. Ltd.

 

Nov.2000

Built the second factory in specializing insert molding in Kani city.

 

Oct. 2002

To Shanghai city, China, a decision on advancement by the investment.

 

Mar. 2003

Cooperated with ITW Company (Illinois Tool Works)

 

Aug. 2003

Industry site 9,900m2 is acquired in Shanghai city, China , with the investment US$ 3,500,000, and Kato Automotive Parts (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is established.
